A crowded beach is a great place for sketching people. I didn’t have a notebook with me, so I took photos for reference and sketched when I got home.
Yesterday at the pool I was prepared with a notebook. Sitting near the diving boards, I sketched the people waiting in line. But they move!

I feel lucky to live a short drive from the beach. And I know it sounds like a cliche, but if you started drawing, and spent time on it, you would be surprised at the results!

Yes, I’ve been told that but time. Writing is more what I’m good at, and I’ve been spending so much time on that that it leaves little time for anything else.
You must miss it! I grew up at the beach (but with cold winters). I can only imagine how much you miss it. The beaches in the Caribbean are unbelievable. The color of the water! Which island?
I’m from Jamaica. None of the beaches here compare, so far. So hopefully Cali will wow me.
