Day 8. It’s a tradition in our house to decorate gingerbread houses. My kids love it – mostly for the candy. They give me a hard time for trying to out do their decorating. What they don’t know is that I aspire to make a gingerbread house that’s a replica of our house. But every year December is too crazy to even think of starting a project like that! Hmmm, maybeย over the summer.
Here’s our setup this year.
My house ๐
Marion has been drawing along with me. See her gingerbread post here.
It’s not too late to join in the creative countdown. Tag your post “adventmcr”
Look how awesome!!! do you bake all that gingerbread too? So much talent and creativity!! ๐
Ha ha! No I only tried baking the pieces once. One of my clients is a bakery and they sell the houses already put together. So much easier than past years when the kids are trying to put the candy on and the houses are collapsing. ๐
Phew! ๐
Wonderful looking project, too scrumptious to eat…well,….maybe just a nibble to taste. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you
Love the gingerbread houses my daughter loved to make them during the years! ๐
Thanks!
You’re welcome Eileen you are doing beautifully with the Advent Calendar! โค
What fun! Is it okay to cross over some of my doodlewash prompts with yours? I feel like it is cheating to use the same painting for different challenges, but sometimes time is so fleeting! ๐ค๐๐๐
It is fine with me! I totally agree time is the biggest challenge. I made up these prompts bc I wanted to focus on Christmas and I knew if I followed any other prompts that would go out the window. I also knew if I didn’t make the commitment, the busyness of the season would take over and I wouldn’t paint at all!
Okay! I shall play along! ๐
